  • Richard A. Ronning, 81, of Hot Springs Village, passed away peacefully March 23, 2017.

    He was born on July 14, 1935 in Chicago, Illinois to Andrew and Bertha Ronning.

    He was preceded in death by his parents.

    He is survived by his loving wife and best friend, Hilde Ronning, his brother Dennis Ronning and his children, Chris and Jessica. Also, brother-in-law, Willy Winther of Oslo, Norway and many cousins and their families.

    Rich was a member of Mountainside Methodist Church. He enjoyed golfing, boating and being outside in God’s nature. He also liked listening to music, reading and spending time in his workshop.

    He cherished time spent with family and many loving friends. His quiet and spirit-loving personality will leave an impression on all our lives, never to be forgotten.

    We admired Rich's demeanor and laid back personality very much. He was a great neighbor, good Christian, an all around wonderful guy and will be missed. RIP our friend.

    Rich Ronning will be missed. Enjoyed walking with him in our neighborhood and Harry enjoyed golfing with him. He was always so nice and and enjoyed talking with him. May he rest in peace.
